In a mondo bizarro episode of the Tool Academy Rob — who usually looked like he was the most level-headed of all the tools — freaked out after taking and failing a polygraph test and had to be rushed in an ambulance to the hospital from an anxiety attack.

So naturally, Rob and girlfriend Karine (above photo) couldn’t continue so they left the academy voluntarily. But with the challenge still to go, the tools, namely Matsuflex, Shawn, Mr. Unemployed Tommy and Tiny Tool Josh, thought they could still be eliminated.

That wasn’t the case because at the end, all four were allowed to stay in the most bizarre elimination ceremony ever. In true Tool Academy fashion, the host messed with the tools heads until the end, calling Shawn and Tommy down to the carpet (bottom photo) before telling them all to relax.

Then the host went out and told the girls to go back inside the mansion, since they’d all be coming back next week.

Oh yeah, and the tools each got a tattoo, except for Mr. Bum (Tommy) who thought it would be better not to have the Tool Academy emblem showing on his body.

And then the guys directed the girls — who couldn’t see anything — around a treacherous obstacle course that included fake bombs, fake gas and other hazardous fake objects. Matsuflex won (again!) and got a fake conjugal visit with his fake girlfriend (middle photo) who has really had 500 lovers. The exercise was meant to teach them trust. Did it work? Guess we’ll see next week.
