Tool Academy: The Funniest Reality TV Show EVER - Tool Academy - Reality TV Circus
OK, let’s say, for example, that you’re a TV exec sitting in one of those cushy chairs in a Los Angeles office overlooking the Hollywood hills. Somebody brings in to you this idea, this notion that you could tell several unsuspecting dudes they’ll be entering a contest called Mr. Awesome to find the best Alpha Male when in all actuality it’s a full-blown boot camp their girlfriends set up because they’re tools.
You would laugh, right? The last time I saw something like this executed to perfection was when they had that “American Superstar” reality TV show on the old WB, which was set up like American Idol EXCEPT they told these horrible singers they could sing AND they led them on until they were eliminated. The show was priceless! It was the scam of the century…until Tool Academy.
Tool Academy is the new show on VH1 where your girlfriend could send your ass to school, where you sleep on military-style cots and where you learn to be a man. So, to all you tools out there who haven’t been chosen…you are on full notice! Double-check your cell phones and shred every piece of evidence!!
As you can see from the action photos above, these girls are not messing around anymore with their men! And while the tools are ridiculous (come on…a dude like MEGA says he gets a girl every day of the week? Seriously??) it is nonetheless about as entertaining an hour as you will ever see on TV.
My advice, though, is they need to get rid of Trina, that stupid doctor or whatever and ratchet up the intensity notch a bit with somebody like say, R. Lee Ermey, the ex-drill sergeant. Then we’ll really see who’s tough enough to become a man. And we’ll see a lot more crying.
In the first episode you saw Dmitri get his ass kicked to the curb, because, well, he’s a tool. The great thing about this show is it tells it like it is. Usually you have to draw your own conclusions. This show does all the work for you, so you (or I) don’t have to! So enjoy what is the greatest one hour of television ever invented, the Tool Academy!!
