REALITY TV CIRCUS

When I first heard about Brody Jenner trying to be Paris Hilton it made sense. After all, he’s the son of Bruce Jenner, an Olympic icon who’s been on Wheaties boxes. And like Hilton, Jenner’s done absolutely nothing, NIL, to be a star in Hollywood. (If you count his “acting” in The Hills, you may be slapped. I don’t care if he’s won a Teen Choice Award.)

Saying Brody Jenner is a star is like saying Paris Hilton is a star. But for some odd reason, people like Jenner just like they love Hilton. Maybe it’s because Jenner has what millions don’t (lots of $$$, enough to roll around in) and they like that.

“Bromance,” Jenner’s new reality TV series takes (actually rips off) a page from the MTV hit “Paris Hilton: My New BFF.” While I don’t see Onch on “Bromance,” I do see a lot of dudes trying to become famous like Jenner and get into his inner circle.

Of course, we all know what happened to Spencer Pratt when he tried to weasel his way into Jenner‘s secret society. He was in, the he was out, then back in again. Actually it was pretty funny. It reminded me of the geeky guy trying to get into the big clique in high school. Painful, yet hilarious. Knowing Jenner these guys will have to endure about 1,000 frat pranks as well as clean his shoes with their tongues. LOL

Anyway, nine guys will try to become Brody’s BFF. Creepy, I know, but that’s the way it is. The thing about “Bromance” is that even though it’s like its Paris Hilton counterpart, it does have its own flavor. Fro example, Brody will have his own team of masterminds determining who’s going and staying. His buddy Frankie Delgado, a nightclub promoter/owner, is one and Sleazy T (real name: Taylor Mosher) is the other. This isn’t the first time Delgado’s been on TV. He was also on “The Hills“ and did a solo turn on “Sons Of Hollywood” with Rod Stewart’s son Sean and Tori Spelling’s brother Randy, among others. (Aside from that he also made an ass of himself on E!’s “Party Monsters: Cabo” recently.)

So let the “Bromance” begin and let them all hug it out. The magic begins December 29 on MTV.
