Dr. Drew Is A Savior To Gary Busey - Celebrity Rehab 2 With Dr. Drew
Remember how we told you Gary Busey was about 11 eggs short of a dozen? Well, it turns out he’s had a breakthrough. And Dr. Drew is the one who helped him out. He may be getting back to normal after all.
It all started yesterday when Busey talked to Drew during Friends & Family weekend about a conversation he had when his father was still alive. Busey’s dad told him that in spite of all of his blunders, he still found Gary to be a competent person.
Dr. Drew replied, “Gary, I see that in you.” And Busey was stunned, Drew recalled, because the Dr. had been the only person since Busey’s father to have seen that in Busey!
And after some of the things Busey has said on the program, it was about time for some normalcy! LOL Of course Busey did throw in some off-hand references to outer space and aliens, and even a few little tidbits about angels.
Is he still completely out of his mind? Maybe, but the meds are kicking in and Busey isn’t helping, um, annoying the rest of the celebrity patients. He still thinks he’s there to lend a helping hand and irritates the hell out of Jeff Conaway…but it isn’t as bad as it was before! Victory, Gary Busey!!
And he even admitted during a moment of clarity at the luau that wrapped up the weekend that he may still have a drug problem, which is a far cry from the way he was behaving at the beginning of his 14 day-stay in the Pasadena Recovery Center.
